Terms of Service
Last Updated: 2026-03-10
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing Giti (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you must discontinue use.
2. Accounts and Security
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and access credentials. Giti reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or exhibit abusive usage patterns.
3. Subscriptions, Trials, and Refunds
- Trials: We may offer limited-time free trials ("Creator" or "Pro" tiers). Unless you cancel before the trial period ends, your selected payment method will be automatically charged.
- Subscription Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew on a monthly or annual basis unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your billing portal (Lemon Squeezy). Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing cycle.
- Refund Logic: All charges are strictly non-refundable unless required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial-month usage.
4. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) Responsibilities
Some tiers allow you to supply your own API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, News APIs) to bypass our internal usage quotas.
- Security Disclaimer: If you choose to use the BYOK feature, your keys are encrypted locally in your browser (AES-GCM). However, Giti disclaims all liability for any leaked keys, compromised accounts, or overage charges incurred on your third-party provider accounts if your local device or network is compromised.
- Acceptance of Risk: You assume full responsibility for rotating and monitoring the usage of your personal API keys.
5. Content Accuracy & Non-Advice Disclaimer
- AI-Generated Summaries: Giti utilizes AI to summarize, translate, and contextualize global news. AI can hallucinate or produce inaccurate responses. You must always verify critical information against the original source.
- No Professional Advice: News, financial data (including stocks), and political summaries provided on Giti are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, medical, or investment advice.
6. SLA and Uptime Disclaimer
While we strive for high reliability, Giti is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
- We do not offer a financially backed Service Level Agreement (SLA) for uptime.
- We are not liable for outages caused by third-party upstream providers (e.g., LLM APIs, news feed providers, hosting platforms).
7. Acceptable Use and Abuse
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass, exploit, or scrape our rate limits, paywalls, or premium features.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or spiders to extract news feeds or AI summaries.
- Execute prompt injection attacks or use the Service to generate prohibited, illegal, or harmful content.
8. Intellectual Property
The Giti interactive 3D globe, proprietary codebase, branding, and aggregated interface are owned by Giti. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell the platform. The news content and articles linked remain the property of their respective publishers.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Giti and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 15 days' notice via the application or email before the new terms take effect.
